Mia is a UK-based personal finance content creator, former model, and the founder of the brand Frugal Chic®. She is known for sharing her journey toward financial independence and early retirement through frugal living and smart investing.
Her work has received industry recognition and has been featured in leading publications including Vogue, The Telegraph, and The Times.
Drawing on her background in luxury fashion, she has developed a distinctive approach that bridges high-end aesthetics with financial intelligence, culminating in the creation of Frugal Chic® — a cultural movement that has attracted a global audience and reshaped the conversation around conscious wealth-building and elevated lifestyle design.
My journey
Abandoned as a baby in China, adopted by British parents and grew up in London.
Dabbled with side hustles like reselling, was obsessed with streetwear.
Did a few internships in the fashion industry from Merchandising to Design assistance.
Working in luxury fashion wholesale, started posting content about money.
Signed a book deal! Spent the next year writing and finalising it.

Attended an all-girls Catholic school, went on to study History, English Literature and Religious Studies.
Studied Fashion Management at Nottingham Trent University. Started to become interested in finance.
Got scouted by a modelling agency, I did this alongside my studies and placement.
Content started outweighing my job, I finally decided to take the leap to go full-time.
Became a speaker and diversified my creator business beyond brand partnerships.
